Reconstructing the history of the great European metropolises in the "dark ages" is always difficult given the scarcity and fragmentary nature of the documentation. It is even more so in the case of Naples, where most of the archival documents have been lost. Difficult, but not impossible. A documentary that traces the history of medieval Naples through the stories of historians and experts and the support of graphics and re-enactments. We will discover that, unlike what happened in other large cities, the Neapolitan Middle Ages was not an era of decadence but of artistic splendor and splendour. The city is full of traces of that era - you just need to know how to look for them.
