Outback Vet is a multi-layered documentary series set in an unforgiving land.
Outback Vet follows Rick Fenny, a 40 year career veterinarian, his family, and his network of vet clinics, as they encounter the everyday and the never seen before that comes from working with animals in some of the most remote and hostile conditions across the vast state of Western Australia.
Rick is one of the world’s most interesting vets you’ve never heard of. He began his career towing a caravan and he’s proudly maintained a gypsy lifestyle ever since. He regularly embarks on a monthly 3000 km round trip across the State to visit remote clients, his vet practices, and most importantly his family.
The series features Rick’s son Ed, a marine biologist and Shark expert; his daughter and fellow vet, Dr Louisa Fenny; and a cast of tirelessly committed young vets running his many clinics in rural parts of Western Australia.
