“The Blue World”, of which the filming process is the largest, widest and most comprehensive marine filming operation in China so far, was all shot with 4K ultra-high-definition technology.
Through the journey from the frozen Bohai Bay to the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea where the four seasons are distinct, and then to the tropical South China Sea, its footprints almost reach all the most representative regions of the Chinese ocean.
Groups of sperm whales spend most of their time in deep waters around ocean trenches. They jump out of the sea and spray water mist, forming a fleeting rainbow under the refraction of sunlight. In Rongcheng, on the coast of the Yellow Sea on the Shandong Peninsula, two thousand whooper swans with white feathers like snow, cluster here again to spend their winter. You can also see cute animals like seal, endangered species like Chinese white dolphin, competing species like lizard and mantis as well as sea turtle and ghost crab. This film takes the Chinese coast as stage, advocating the beauty of China's diverse marine landscapes.
