Andrea Bada is the team leader of a group of deep water divers with a mission: to identify and film the dozens of wrecks laying at the bottom of the Mediterranean, each with its own fascinating historical tale. Deep means more than 100 meters under water. Deep means mixing gases to prevent from poisoning the divers - a technology known as Trimix and Re-Breathing.
Andrea Bada, Luca Parodi, marine biologist, Gabriele Paparo, navy diver, and their long time instructor, Lorenzo Veneziano have more than 20 years’ experience in this very dangerous speciality. Their mission is to map the sea floor, explore the depths where fishing boats have lost their nets or the navy has identified an obstacle which could turn out to be a wreck sitting down there for years. Bada and his team are driven by a sense of adventure and by the need to explore; every dive is a plunge into the past - exploring submarines from Nazi Germany, British warships and American warplanes sunk by the Germans in World War II, Roman battleships and Greek cargo carriers carrying ancient secrets, unveiled here for the first time.
