Dishing It Up puts celebrity chef recipes to the test with the toughest critics of all, home cooks. From appliance malfunctions to fire alarms and misguided measurements, we wipe away the showbiz sheen to reveal the hilarious home truths behind our favourite cooking shows.
Our home cooks span generations, cultures and cooking abilities and are united in just one thing: their love of food. High school sweethearts Fiona and Jeremy bring a unique dual-cultural, Asian-Australian perspective, while doting husbands Stefan and Yash will critique even the most-acclaimed of celebrity chefs. Egyptian Mum and daughter, Magda and Sara, will bicker over just about everything, while hipster parents Waz and Jen show us how to botch things up with style. Best friends Anna and Matt always have a cocktail in hand, and friends since school, Jonathan and Hari, round things off with the nerdiest of toilet humour.
Armed with whatever cooking equipment they own, our home cooks will be dishing up recipes from the greats (Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Marco Pierre White), local legends (Miguel Maestre, Maggie Beer, Poh Ling Yeow, Silvia Colloca) and internet renegades (Matty Matheson, Uncle Roger, Nat’s What I Reckon).
