This 90-minute feature documentary is based on Andrea Bada, a diver with more than 20 years’ experience in one of the most dangerous specialities: deep diving with rebreathers, a technique for removing carbon dioxide from the breathing gas.
The great passion he has for the sea along with his sense of adventure and exploration pushed him to open up his diving center and use his knowledge to search, identify and film dozens of wrecks laying on the seabed of the Mediterranean. The team of three - Andrea Bada, Gabriele Papano and Luca Parodi, face each dive onto the wreck as though it were the first time. The preparation of the equipment, the calculations needed to estimate the maximum time they have on the wreck, identification of the dangers they might face - such as nets or hooks, or in some cases the presence of explosives - all go into the meticulous pre-dive briefing.
His love of his job is greater than his sense of danger. In 2018 he risked his life when a particularly stressful dive caused an embolism that almost killed him. He worked his way back to health and has never stopped diving.
