Son of a blacksmith and a school teacher, Benito Mussolini was a restless, disobedient, rebellious and aggressive child. He was a bully at school and moody at home.
As an adult, he is emotional and impulsive, characteristics that make his speeches suggestive and persuasive; he is moved by the conviction that he represents an important force in the destinies of Italy and is determined to make it count. He is a man who does not resign himself to second-rate positions.
With these premises, at the end of the Great War, in the context of strong political and social instability, he became a unifying force for the Italian people, who strongly believed in him. He thus aimed to seize power; forcing the hand of the institutions, with the help of acts of squadrism and political intimidation.
Let's discover together how he went from being a simple boy from a small town in the province of Forlì, in Romagna, to probably the greatest evil in Italy.
